  • You buy to live in the property yourself,

  • You are not already a homeowner on the day of the deed.

F.A.Q

  • NO, this condition only needs to be fulfilled by 1 of the 2 applicants. 

  • For example, under Luxembourg law, when people are married with "joint ownership of property", when one of the spouses purchases a home with a mortgage loan, even if they do so alone, the other spouse becomes a buyer by law as well. In this case, the said spouse must also comply with the conditions. The same applies in comparable situations, in particular under other national laws.

  • NO

  • Copies are accepted

  • YES

  • Less than 3 months old as of the day the form is sent, except for the ownership certificate, which is issued on 01/01/2024.

  • YES – Except if your country of residence does not provide this sort of certificate (e.g., France). If that is the case, you must provide a sworn statement proving the composition of the household living under the same roof, accompanied by an energy bill.

  • The concept of a “dependent child” is understood primarily in terms of their presence on the household composition form or the extended certificate of residence. However, "unborn" children are also taken into account if a pregnancy has been confirmed (medical attestation required). However, your tax records may also be taken into account. The Fund’s assessment of this situation is strictly decisive.

  • By providing a letter from the notary attesting to the sale of the property and stating the date of sale. 

  • YES

  • NO. All files must be sent by post by registered mail with acknowledgement of receipt to the bailiffs’ office. Files physically deposited directly at the bailiffs’ office will be rejected.

  • NO. It is my responsibility to verify with the post office on the trackandtrace website using my deposit receipt that my item has arrived at the bailiffs’ office by the deadline at the latest.

    It is up to me to plan for the delivery to be on time.

  • A long-term change in my household or circumstances after the purchase of my first affordable home which makes it unsuitable or at least less suitable. The Fund’s assessment of the change and whether it is a long-term change is decisive. 

     For example, if a childless couple had bought a home with two bedrooms and then had twins, the two-bedroom home has become unsuitable for that family.

     Exceptions to this rule may be granted in very exceptional cases.

  • YES:

    a/ Fill in item 3.3 of the form

    b/ Provide evidence of the lasting change in my household after the purchase of my first affordable home, which justifies applying for "Internal Mobility".

  • Thirty-six (36) months after construction work begins. Currently, completion is expected to be in 2028. 

  • 2% of the sale price incl. taxes (17%).
